Quadcopter is a long term project that gives our members an opportunity to gain a more in-depth understanding of designing and building a complete robotics system. The Quadcopter project aims to design and build a four-rotor helicopter flight system that will involve I/O sensor programming, microcontrollers and embedded software development. This project involves students from all faculties to work together as a team and solving problems, like they would in a real world situation. The result of this multidisciplinary project will be a radio-controller quadcopter design and prototype that will have the capability to broadcast live high definition video from an on-board camera from an aerial view. Currently we are working on a custom flight controller board, a custom air-frame, and completely home built flight control software. We are looking for people to work on the software and air-frame design.
